A larp about
family and power,
trust and loyalties.
What would you do to keep the legacy
you have been building alive?
A larp about Family and Power, trust and loyalties.
Inspired by stories such as “Succession”, or “Industry”, Wield is a story about the push-pull tensions between tradition and change, keeping the family legacy alive at all costs, and also about all the people who are attracted to status, money and power and the lengths they would go to to keep it.

Immerse Yourself
in a World of Power, Intrigue, and Betrayal
The experience
Step into a high-stakes story where corporate ambition collides with family drama, and every moment is charged with possibility. Here, fortunes are built or destroyed with a whispered word, an exchanged glance, or a single strategic move. In this world, every decision matters. Every conversation carries weight. Every choice could shift alliances, spark rivalries, or topple empires.
How will you navigate a world where loyalty is a currency, and trust is a liability?
Welcome to
the Gathering
Over one fateful weekend, three powerful factions come together.

The Legacy Holders
Two family-owned conglomerates, locked in a bitter rivalry spanning decades. Behind their wealth and influence lie fractures of jealousy, ambition, and unresolved grievances.

The Disruptors
A rising investment powerhouse, fueled by innovation and ambition. Their arrival threatens the old guard, offering both opportunity and a harbinger of change.
Absolute Power
Corrupts Absolutely
In this world, there are no heroes or villains—only flawed individuals, each shaped and scarred by the relentless pursuit of power. Every character is compromised, their ambitions and loyalties tangled in a web of greed, desperation, and survival.
This larp is a dark psychological drama that delves into the depths of ambition, betrayal, and the fractured psyche of those consumed by power. It shines a light on the shadows that linger in extreme family dynamics—where love and loyalty are warped by manipulation and control.
Many of the characters are profoundly pathological, embodying traits that are sadistic, Machiavellian, narcissistic, or even psychopathic. Their relationships are strained by dysfunction, fractured by betrayal, and marked by exploitation and the relentless abuse of power. These twisted personal dynamics are inseparably entwined with the ruthless corporate machine, where ambition fuels fragile alliances, bitter rivalries, and inevitable betrayals.
This is not a larp where the goal is for your faction to emerge victorious—it’s about collaboratively telling a compelling story together.
LOCATION
The location is Palacio Monte de Cutamilla in Sigüenza, one hour from Madrid airport. We will help players organize carpooling, or we can arrange a larp mini bus if there is enough interest.
Historical Natural Reserve, 1,200 hectares in size. The entrance to the estate from the CM 1101 is controlled by security guards 24 hours a day. Access to the mansion is through a private and asphalted road of 3 km from the entrance to the mansion. We have 14 large en-suite rooms and a kitchen.
–
The waters that supply the Palacete and the surrounding buildings are classified as natural mineral water, declared a public utility, and were bottled under the brand name «Fontemilla». They are currently bottled under the brand name «Font Vella Sigüenza», the first national brand.
Warning: The location has long been a hunting ground and some of the areas are decorated with antlers and animals. Unfortunately, we cannot remove them all for the larp.
–
Cutamilla appears in the Inventory of Royal Hunting Grounds from the year 1325 (Book of the Montería de Alfonso XI). The Art Nouveau Palace was built in the second half of the 19th century by the Duke of Pastrana, together with the private railroad station of the estate, which allowed the comfortable visit of illustrious personalities of Spanish society, including the Queen Regent, Maria Cristina of Habsburg and King Alfonso XII.
ROOMS
Rooms will be shared between 4 and 2 people. There are some double beds. If you choose to share a bed, you will have a better chance of getting a ticket

Rules
This game is designed to offer you the chance to experience life as your character, albeit during a short period of time and in a controlled environment. It will be a successful experience if you flow with what happens to your character and lift the play of your coplayers. There are no objectives that will cause you to win or lose. The only thing we ask of you is to be in your character’s shoes, to connect with what they feel, to think the way they would think, and behave in the way they would behave, all the while allowing your character to make their own decisions. That’s what we call «flow» or “letting go».

Of course, you are your own game master within the limitations of the game and safety rules. We trust our players to be involved in the whole process, from the character creation phase to the end of the event. That’s why, once the game starts, you don’t need to ask us permission to do something or to decide if your character would think or do something.
We are happy with players changing their character sheets following some rules: calibrate changes with your coplayers, don’t change the sign of the relationship that you want to change (positive or negative), don’t change events from the past, and if you are not going to play or you want to change a plot, please let us know before doing so.
All you see will be part of the game and you will have to deal with the consequences. Respect other people’s experiences and safety: avoid any behavior or attitude that can hurt the immersion or the experience of other players but also keep in mind that safety comes first.
Secrecy is the default of the game, but if your coplayers want to play with transparency, it is ok on our side.
«Off-game» has also some meanings that are not related to safety:
- When organizers need you to do something: «Off-game: please move, we need to move a van”.
- “Off-game: this is the best speech you’ve ever listened to”. When you, as a player, don’t have some skills that your character has.

Espe Montero
PRODUCER AND DESIGNER
(SHE/THEM)
Owned by three cats, day job spent selling SaaS. Currently located in Madrid, Spain.
Espe is a feminist, LGBTQ+ activist, and a firm believer in larptivism, i.e. larp’s potential to raise awareness and inspire social change.
They started NotOnlyLarp with Enrique and other friends, and is usually the project manager and producer of NOL’s larps. She finds that running a larp requires similar abilities as organizing a human rights demonstration.

Germán Del Toro
DESIGNER
(HE/HIM)
The kind of crazy person that´ll always say yes to a project and will always react with the enthusiasm of a child.
He’s in love with the island where he lives, and will always bring that «Canarian joy» anywhere he goes.
If given an evil character, he will be the kind of narcissistic, manipulative, torturer, evil piece of sh** that you’ll hate. But in real life, while shy at first, he will always help you out, care about you and try to strive for you to have the best experience in our LARPS, so don’t hesitate to approach!
Passionate about board games, roleplaying, videogames, movies, computers… so yes, he’s a proper nerd, just like us!

JONATHAN GOLDSMITH
DESIGNER
(HE/HIM)
Spicy—not just in the neuro way. Loves brains, figuring out what makes people tick, and occasionally pushing limits.
Jonathan is a psychologist, therapist, and activist at The International Bateson Insitute, where he delves into what happens when we try and perceive “information as alive”.
With 35 years in event production, he combines psychological expertise with hands-on creativity to make stuff fun, weird and wonderful.
He passionately believes in the transformative power of play and the magic that unfolds when we gather to create stories together. Through larp, he sees the potential to challenge perceptions, expand possibilities, and redefine what we believe to be ‘real’.
His body? A broken-down temple with plenty of character.

(THEY/THEM)
Addicted to storytelling.
Currently in Poland.
Got a glimpse of a new world in 2015, in a certain castle, where they could pretend to be a wizard for a few days. Since then explored many larps as a player, from small cosy chambers to huge international games in crazy locations. Photography has been an important part of this journey from the very beginning. Beyond that, a fan of sailing and playing long RPG sessions. Located in Warsaw, works for a corporation (for now) in an attempt to pay for the collection of expensive hobbies.

COOK
(HE/HIM)
The usual combination of too many interests
and too little time.
Located in Austria.
Pays his bills by working in IT, lives out his creativity through playing LARPs and cooking, at times even combining those two. Visited his first LARP about fifteen years ago and in love with the hobby ever since. Has experienced a broad range of games and genres since then as player, catered on a few and tried his best as larprunner at least once.
Can easily be distracted by striking up a conversation on RPG, board games, books, computer games, miniature painting, fencing,…

Andy Podesser
COOK
(HE/HIM)
Based in Austria.
His passion is history, his love is food – so he wrote his bachelor thesis about medieval cooking. Residing in the Alps of Austria. “There and never back again” – The story of a real-life hobbit who got into touch with LARP ages ago and never managed to stay away since then. He loves writing stories, reading stories, telling stories and, most befitting to a hobbit, cooking and eating.

Dan ‘Mr. Dantástico’ has an unusual skill to easily get involved in a multitude of really cool projects, done by awesome people like the NotOnlyLarp family.
In the RealWorld®, he is usually in charge of directing the departments of cool and pretty things, with the invaluable help of black coffee, sleepless nights and role-playing games with friends. He started rolling dice at the time of the dinosaurs and has not yet abandoned this fabulous hobby of telling and living stories around the table.
Graphic design is his passion (insert kitten meme here and a lot of lorem ipsum).
